About
I am a current student at IU Indianapolis studying Health Services Management with a minor in Human Resources Management. I will obtain my bachelor's degree in May 2026 from the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. I have two prior healthcare internship experiences with one in place for post-graduation.
Why Health Services Management?
I chose to study Health Services Management after the realization that delivering clinical healthcare was not for me. I was originally studying Dental Hygiene, but I didn't feel a connection with the course materials or lab activities. After consulting with my academic advisor, I knew I wanted to work behind the scenes in healthcare. Once I began the HSM courses, I felt a connection with what I was learning! It has been a wonderful learning opportunity filled with various experiences and networking.
Throughout my internship experiences and various shadowing opportunities, I have been able to identify my top areas of interest. Practice management and service line administration provides career opportunities full of growth, challenges, and successes for a future leader such as myself.
