images (1)_edited.jpg
IU Health Department of Medicine Intern

Within the Department of Medicine, my project was focused on effective room utilization, specifically within ambulatory clinics.

I traveled to 2 clinics and monitored their exam room utilization and the processes behind it. The bulk of my project was to put what I visualized into data spreadsheets to make recommendations for improvements. I then presented my recommendations and findings to the department chairs.

Primary Responsibilities and Projects
  1. Building Excel spreadsheets, tables, and graphs to visually demonstrate my findings.

  2. Attend the Depart of Medicine Refresh.

  3. Travel to ambulatory clinics to monitor patient exam room utilization and make recommendations for improvements.

  4. Collaborate with Department Chair members and Practice Operations Specialists.

  5. Build connections within IU Health through various shadowing opportunities that aligned with my professional goals.
